NMPA Early Career Psychologist (ECP) Committee The ECP Committee is an active part of NMPA. See below for a list of committee members. ECP Committee Members: Elisa DeVargas, Ph.D. - Chair Any psychologist who is within seven years of initial licensure is considered an ECP. Our committee is dedicated to creating a community for ECPs in the state, offering education, promoting the visibility of ECPs in NMPA, and to advocate for issues relevant to ECPs. Benefits for ECP members include: Reduced membership fees. ECP members pay a sliding fee based on how long they have been licensed that starts at $60 for the first year. Future membership dues determined by length of licensure. Discounted rate for CE workshops offered by NMPA Access to the NMPA primary and ECP listservs which allows discussion among ECPs and is also the primary way in which ECP events are announced. Access to the ECP consultation group (available to licensed ECPs who are not under the clinical supervision of another psychologist) which meets regularly to provide peer consultation on professional issues relevant to ECPs including case consultation, professional identity and development, providing supervision to other psychologists, work-life balance, etc. Several ECP events every quarter including social/networking dinners, community activities and outings, and educational events such as “lunch and learns.” If you have any questions about the ECP committee or would like to get involved please contact the committee chair. |
