Poster Presentations at the 2024 Fall Conference Students, Trainees, and NMPA NMPA is invested in promoting leadership opportunities and enhancing services and support to graduate students, interns and fellows. Trainees joining the organization are shaping their roles in NMPA as well as the services and activities NMPA offers for students. There are many ways to become involved in NMPA. The NMPA member listserv, a membership benefit, offers a place where members can share information and find answers. NMPA sponsors several annual events for students, including a poster session at the fall conference, to showcase student and early career research and to encourage networking with New Mexican psychologists. The Early Career Psychologist Committee and the Member in Training Committee host a yearly panel forum, during which seasoned and early career psychologists answer questions about internship, fellowship, licensure, starting a practice or finding a position, balancing work-life obligations, and anything else participants might need to know about the stage they are in or the next step. NMPA also sponsors campus events at UNM and NMSU. In addition, the Early Career Psychologist Committee often has events that are open to trainees. Please check this website as well as the early career website periodically for event updates.
